TV presenter Helen Skelton, Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham and business leaders come together on the 22nd June to celebrate Greater Manchester's commitment to ending pregnancy, maternity and paternity discrimination. This is an opportunity to hear how the Equality and Human Rights Commission's Working Forward programme will support Manchester's reputation as a progressive, socially responsible and inclusive city, and a great place to work.
Hot on the heels of gender pay gap reporting and a wealth of negative press about how businesses support, promote and nurture mothers in the workplace, Manchester is taking matters into its own hands to show the rest of the UK how we do things differently.
Greater Manchester businesses have now pledged to end pregnancy, maternity and paternity discrimination and to make their workplaces the best they can be for working parents. This event will be a celebration of Manchester's commitment to this pledge and will offer business leaders an opportunity to better understand why Working Forward will help you improve the wellbeing of your staff and increase your productivity whilst simultaneously attracting new talent.
The event is free and places are limited.
