Our client UK short break specialist Center Parcs is heading into their peak holiday booking period – and they’ve got a new online booking system, designed by us, to help ensure all goes smoothly.
The new accommodation booking experience follows the launch of a new site design last month, which was implemented by Adobe.
“We’ve been working closely with the Center Parcs team as a pre-curser to the introduction of the new customer facing experiences,” says our Lead Digtial Consultant Richard.
“We carried out extensive research to understand the unique needs of Center Parcs customers to create a booking experience that not only makes the whole process much more intuitive but that caters for groups and multi families making a reservation in one or more of the on village lodges.
“Unlike more typical holiday bookings many Center Parcs guests are often looking to visit with other families and friends, guaranteeing neighbouring lodges and sharing the process; adding extras at the booking stage and building itineraries for the short break, which have all been made much easier and built into the solution.
“Modern UX principles and engineering have been applied and the interface is fully responsive. It delivers new personalisation features to speed up repeat bookings, filters search by user’s ‘must-have’ accommodation features, lets customers invite guests on their break and allows details to be changed online right up until the date of the break.
“Another objective behind the revamp is to drive additional revenue by encouraging customers to book extras at point of booking.
“By using atomic design assets created by us, the Center Parcs’ in-house teams will be able to add new information and maintain the new site more efficiently than the previous solution, integrating it with other areas of the business operations.”
