In the latest fundraising venture from our dedicated charity committee, a 15-strong group of Computerlovers (including our CEO Tony Foggett) are taking part in the Manchester 100km bike ride on the 3rd September. (As you can see, we didn’t manage to round quite all of them up for this pic!)
We’re cycling in aid of The Christie, a charity that’s a local institution and that many of us here have a personal connection to. The money we raise will help to fund lifesaving research and provide inspiration and hope to cancer patients and their families.
The team we’ve pulled together for the ride all range somewhere along the scale from ‘hardy bike enthusiast’ to ‘total novice’ – but the lengthy 100km course is sure to be a real challenge for every one of them.
To make sure they’re as prepared as possible for the task ahead, we’ve installed a stationary bike in the office (see above pic) so they can all get a bit of practice in over the coming weeks. Keep any eye on our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages to see how they’re getting on.
Please help motivate our saddle-sore riders and support The Christie in their amazing work by making a donation via the Code Velo’s Manchester 100km Fundraising Page.
