Besides doing lots of excellent work and raking in the awards, we’ve been in fundraising overdrive during the last few months, taking part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and then pulling together a bake sale, jumble sale and ‘fancy dress Friday’ in support of Action for Children.
Now on to what else we’ve been doing with ourselves since August.
Back when summer was still in full swing (remember that?), Louis took to the stage at Figaro Digital’s Digital Marketing conference to give his thoughts on the topic ‘Will the next wave of technology make us more human?’; you can catch up with what he had to say on the subject in the online video.
And we secured FWA Mobile of the Day for Chester Zoo app — the first of many awards for this particular project, as it turned out…
‘Our Zoo’, the excellent BBC programme about the history of our client Chester Zoo, began airing in September, and we launched the crowdsourcing platform ‘Me, You and the Zoo’ in support; the story was picked up by both Campaign Live and Media Gopher.
We also got the ace news that we’d been ranked fourth in the Elite category of The Drum’s Digital Census.
In October, we scored four more fantastic award wins for the Chester Zoo app: Best Use of Mobile at The DADI Awards, a Digital Entrepreneur Award for Best Use of Mobile, and Silver in the Mobile & App category of the Lovie Awards plus a ‘People’s Lovie’, voted for by the public.
Founder Tony presented a session at the Open Co MCR event, and he was ranked at no.62 in The Drum Digerati countdown. And news broke about of the latest addition to our client list, Swinton Insurance.
We’re currently waiting to find out how we’ll do in The Drum Network Awards, where were nominated in the Digital Marketing Agency of the Year and Mobile Marketing Campaign/Strategy of the Year (again for Chester Zoo app) categories, the Sitecore Experience Awards (for Sue Ryder), and the Travel & Leisure category of The Digitals. So hopefully we’ll have some more good news to share soon!
