Chester Zoo app a roaring success at Big Chip Awards

Last night the Computerlove team put their gladrags on for the prestigious Big Chip Awards -- an awards scheme which, as it's now in its 14th year, is nearly as old as Code itself!

We've maintained our pole position in the Big Chip Hall of Fame with another two awards this year, taking our total number of Big Chip trophies to a whopping 20.

We were extremely proud to come home with two awards this year, both for the Chester Zoo app: it scooped 'Best Use of Mobile' as well as the prestigious 'Grand Prix'. The team worked really hard on the project -- watch the app in action for yourself.

But for us, the awards aren't just about the winning. Held in our hometown -- a city that's always firmly believed that tables are for dancing on -- the event itself is always a fantastic opportunity to catch up with our digital friends from across the region.

Today, the fashionistas among us are already searching online to purchase a suit as brilliant as the neon green, daisy printed one sported by one of the attendees. And those among us who got an early night have been providing comforting bacon butties and rehydration to those who stayed out till 5am!

True to form, the night has provided us with a number of tales to tell (and very sore heads this morning!) -- drop us a line @computerlovers for the gossip.

Special thanks to Simon Hacking at Chester Zoo who has been a total pleasure to work with - just rewards for all that hard work!
