Celebrating a decade working with Hillarys

We just wanted to take a moment to recognise an important milestone in the Code story: we've now been working with our client [Hillarys][0] for 10 years.

We were first introduced to Hillarys by their branding agency (and our friends) [The Chase][1]. We were initially commissioned to look at developing a brand experience website for the main Hillarys brand, to which was quickly added the design and build of a new e-commerce proposition called [web-blinds.com][2].

That was the start of Code working in e-commerce -- a shift for our business -- and creating the UK's most successful online blinds website was our first brief. Not bad!

From those innovative early days we've achieved so much together. Below's a quick timeline

2004 Hillarys.co.uk and Web-blinds eCommerce

2005 Hillarys redesign

2006 Blinds Supermarket, Star Blinds and Web Blinds home refresh

2007 Hillarys Ireland

2008 Web-blinds basket overhaul

2009 Web-Curtains

2010 Hillarys Recruitment site

2011 Mobile versions of websites; Curtains website launched

2012 New Hillarys.co.uk website

2013 Performance management services drive £1m additional sales

2014 Revisit web-blind and commerce proposition

There have been many partnership highlights along the way, most notably receiving the Best Retail Award 2007 at the Revolution Awards.

But our greatest achievement is in driving digital success together; digital now accounts for 50% of the overall Hillarys business.

The Hilarys team has grown from 3 to over 30 in this time and our relationship is stronger than ever. So Susan, Emma and the team -- thank you for the last 10 years. And we hope you enjoyed the cake.
