The new site has been developed to be a single destination where students can learn everything they need to know about being a student – from how to find a place to live to getting more involved in campaigning or saving money with the NUS Extra card.
Commenting on the redevelopment, Nick Emms from NUS Services said, “We wanted to refocus on the core values of the NUS, namely supporting students by acting as a definitive source of information, helping them to get involved in issues that make a difference to the world around them and supporting student unions. Crucially it was important that the new site was a much more interactive place where students really connect and become involved.”
The launch of the site was timed to coincide with A-level results and the start of Freshers week, when new students need more help than ever preparing for student life. The site will be promoted via off and online marketing activity
