Manchester-based Code Computerlove has won a national digital marketing award from Revolution magazine for its work for online blinds retailer, www.web-blinds.com. Code picked up the trophy for 'best retail site' at the Revolution awards dinner, held on Friday 16th March in London.
Www.web-blinds.com beat off competition from major global brands Nike, Fat Face, Levi Strauss and Net-a-Porter to win the category. The site, which targets 25-40 year old homeowners, was redeveloped by Code some 18 months ago with the objective of improving conversion rates, overall sales and search rankings. The agency's work has seen conversion rates soar and sales increase by nearly 50%, whilst www.web-blinds.com is now listed on page 1 of a Google search for 'made-to-measure blinds'.
Code client services director, Andrew Davenport, comments, "We're naturally delighted to win a na-tional Revolution award, particularly in view of the brands we surpassed to get there. Our work on www.web-blinds.com has delivered fantastic results for the client in terms of delivering a substan-tially higher volume of visitors to the site and driving them to through to purchase."
Code Computerlove, formed in 1999, is a full service digital marketing agency that employs 43 peo-ple. In addition to www.web-blinds.com, the agency's client list includes Waterstones, Kimberly Clark Corporation, HMV, RHM Foods, NUS Services and Akzo Nobel.
