Manchester International Festival Website Goes Live

Monday, 13 November 2006

Manchester International Festival has unveiled their new website which will act as an information source and showcase, for the large number of original productions and events taking place across the city between 28th June and 15th July 2007.

Created by Manchester based Code Computerlove, the site will grow each month as more information is added, with the full line up being revealed in March 2007. Code was appointed to develop the digital strategy for the festival and create their online presence. Tony Foggett, Managing Director at Code comments, "It feels like a real privilege to be so involved in what is set to become a defining Manchester event. We wanted the website to convey the innovative nature of the festival while at the same time making it quick and easy for visitors to find the information they are looking for."

In addition to full listings of all events as they are revealed, the website has a full news section, festival guide and visitors can join up to become festival members which guarantees them advance notification of new events before tickets go on sale to the general public. There is a seamless link to Ticketmaster, the official retailers for event tickets and also a section for those interested in becoming a festival volunteer.
