Manchester International Festival 2007: Code Computer Love appointed to handle online brief

Wednesday, 17 August 2005

The Manchester-based agency will be responsible for producing a digital strategy and developing an online presence for the festival, which will be preceded by a series of high-profile trailblazer commissions between the end of 2005 and late 2006. A key part of the brief is the creation of an interactive website, which will act as the main source of information in the lead up to and during the festival itself, generating interest and providing support.

A strong online presence will be instrumental in creating a global platform through which the innovative ideas, events and work of the festival can be showcased, and in establishing the Manchester International Festival as a key date in the international cultural calendar.

“We’re seriously proud of our Manchester roots and we have a well-established reputation for placing creativity at the heart of everything we do,” comments Tony Foggett, Managing Director of Code Computer Love, “To be appointed as the digital agency for the Manchester International Festival is fantastic. The website is destined to be a core element of marketing the festival across the globe.”

“I'm thrilled to be working with such an innovative multi-media company to develop the online environment for this pioneering new festival,” comments Christine Cort, Communications Director, Manchester International Festival. “Code has a clear understanding of how to creatively build a brand digitally and their approach very much mirrors our own. Exciting times ahead!”
