Four new digital specialists have joined the award winning Manchester-based Code Computerlove. The appointments are on the back on continued growth for the city-centre digital agency following an influx of briefs from new and current clients. The agency has also taken on Sarah Peel as administrative support and Kirsty Hunt as press & PR officer to handle the company’s marketing, award entries and PR activity.
Designer Leigh Whipday brings seven years of industry experience to his new role at Code, where he will work across the agency’s accounts including RHM Foods, the HMV Group and Kimberley Clark Corporation. Prior to joining Code, Leigh (29) was creative director of Thread Creative Studios working for clients such as Flowcrete, Recognition Express and Incubation Northwest. Leigh has also worked as a freelancer on projects for the BBC and AXA. In addition to design, Leigh is experienced in front-end development (XHTML and CSS), flash animation and illustration.
Colin Preston also joins Code’s design team as a web production designer. Having previously worked both in-house, for the Caudwell Group, and within agency, 28-year old Colin has experience working on high profile brands such as Orange (OrangeAccessories.co.uk), Motorola (Motorola-shop.co.uk), Tesco (TescoContractMobilePhones.com) and Asda (Asda-phones.com). Colin will be responsible for concept design right through to building the front end of sites.
Boasting a strong knowledge of digital marketing, Suzanne Offord has joined Code as an account manager. Previous industry experience was gained as project manager at Amaze working on brands including Toyota, Lexus and ESRC. At Code, Suzanne (26) will be working on Kimberley Clark brands including Huggies, Depend, DryNites and Kotex. Suzanne was attracted to Code for its reputation for being creative and innovative.
James Lunt has been appointed to Code’s expanding Media Department as a digital media executive. 23-year old James will be planning campaigns and buying online media for a number of Code clients including Waterstone’s, Neville Johnson, Leekes department stores and Mike Watson Images. James joins Code from McCann Erikson.
Sarah Peel has worked for seven years in the digital media industry. With a background in account management Sarah (35) fully understands what it takes to maintain a smooth running agency and how to support busy teams. Sarah boasts a strong customer focused approach, has a practical and intelligent nature, and above all has a sense of fun and humour.
Kirsty Hunt has taken over from Belinda Graham as Code’s press & PR officer. Kirsty (32) brings more than 11 years’ PR and marketing experience to the role and aims to build on the strong reputation that the company has built up during the past eight years. Kirsty’s main remit is to get national recognition for Code as one of the UK’s leading digital agencies.
