Manchester-based Code Computer Love has produced a new website for Centura Foods’ flagship brand, Sharwood’s. The new site is set to play an integral role in firmly establishing Sharwood’s as the leading brand for Indian and Oriental cooking products and accompaniments.
Centura Foods is injecting £9 million into the relaunch of the Sharwood’s brand which, in addition to the new website, includes new packaging, innovative new product introductions and a heavyweight advertising and marketing campaign.
www.sharwoods.com aims to both educate and inspire consumers through its extensive product information, cooking tips and recipe suggestions, whilst simultaneously increasing product understanding and building customer loyalty.
Code Computer Love managing director, Tony Foggett, comments, “The new site really sets out to establish Sharwood’s as an authority. It is food-led and in addition to providing information on the full Sharwood’s product range, including all the latest introductions, it also has features such as a Recipe Search and a Chef’s Help section. In terms of design, everything about the site is inspired by the Sharwood’s products found on the supermarket shelves. We have focused on recreating the vibrant tastes and flavours of the food, which gives the site an exciting and energetic feel and reflects the Sharwood’s ‘It Tastes Loud’ TV advertising campaign.”
Rob Devonport, head of marketing for Sharwood’s, adds, “Our research shows that there is enormous growth potential within the Asian meal category, both amongst existing customers and new users. The website sets out to capitalise on this potential, reflecting changing eating patterns and making Asian food relevant to all day eating. We have developed an ambitious new category vision for Sharwood’s and the new site represents just the first stage of our anticipated online activity for the brand.”
Award-winning Code, formed in 1999, has an impressive client list which, in addition to Centura, includes Huggies, Kotex, HMV, Dr. Martens, Bupa, Umbro and Blue Arrow.
