CODE COMPUTERLOVE WINS TWO B2B PROJECTS
Manchester digital marketing agency Code Computerlove has been appointed by two firms operating online looking to improve their services aimed at the business market.
For Constructiononline.co.uk which is the UK's largest certified pre-qualification database, saving the construction industry over £500 million a year in administration - Code has been tasked with re-developing its front-end site to link in with the launch of its new online database and services.
The Constructionline service enables construction procurers to find pre-qualified contractors and consultants for live tenders. The service is owned by central government and was set up to reduce paperwork faced
by the construction firms during the tender process.
The objective of the project is to help Constructionline increase its database of SMEs and private sector companies by making www.constructionline.co.uk a more usable and engaging website. Code will redevelop the front end and provide digital marketing support. Code was awarded the project on its ability to demonstrate an understanding of the target audience's mindset. The new site will be unveiled late summer.
Parasol (www.parasolgroup.co.uk) is the UK's leading PAYE umbrella company used by contractors from a huge variety of industry sectors to maximise their monthly income. Parasol has appointed Code to re-design its online sign up process to aid conversion and encourage more visitors to the site to complete the registration process. The site improvements will form part of the company's rebrand activity.
Susie Lee-Kilgarriff of Parasol said: "We chose Code for the project because they demonstrated such a customer-centric strategic process and provided invaluable expertise about online form design best practice."
Barry Briggs, user experience manager at Code Computerlove, said: "We carried out extensive user experience research to really get under the skin of the audience's needs and preferences for what was a fairly complicated and lengthy process. Effectively, online sign up entails all of the documentation and set up needed by an employer when taking on a new employee.
"Our proposed solution is designed to meet the needs of a wide variety of users, from diverse backgrounds and with differing expectations, priorities and experience of Parasol's service.
"We defined an approach that will support the user throughout the sign up process by outlining key aspects of Parasol's service and guiding the user through the various stages of sign up in a clear and friendly manner, in order to minimise drop off part way through."
Briggs added: "The solution is designed to minimise confusion by breaking up the lengthy sign up process into a simple first step, and then a series of smaller stages that can be completed at the user's convenience thereafter. The tone and structure of the process is intended to make it a less linear and restrictive experience. It provides useful information and contextual hints throughout, while a selection of best practice techniques and established conventions soften the overall user experience. We set out to demystify the service and help the user move through the sign up process in a manner which they are comfortable with."
