Manchester-based digital agency Code Computerlove has picked up three new pieces of work for its ever growing media and online marketing division. The work comes from new clients, department store chain Leekes and Moodboard – a new venture by Mike Watson images, as well as from existing client Hillarys.
Code is Manchester’s only full service specialist digital agency and since its inception its media and e-marketing department has gone from strength to strength working with clients like Clients like Waterstone’s, Huggies, Dry Nights, Neville Johnson, Carrier, Bruntwood, Medacs, Ultraframe, Plumbs and now Hillary’s, Leekes and Moodboard.
Code has been appointed to devise and implement a digital media and marketing strategy for an e-commerce site for Leekes, a household name in Wales and the South West of England. With over 100 years of business behind it, Leekes is one of the UK's leading independent retailers and its department stores supply everything from building materials to golf-wear.
Code’s Media Director Chris Heg said, “The initial activity for Leekes is to implement an inbound link building program to enhance the visibility of the site, its departments and products in search engine results; as well as delivering a sophisticated regionalised pay per click search campaign that supports key departments and products in the Leekes range.
“Then, based on our review of the site analytics, we will also roll out an affiliate marketing program as part of phase two of the marketing program and consider all forms of digital media and marketing, from 3rd party email to display advertising.”
For world renowned stock photography provider, Mike Watson Images the Code media team has been tasked with the digital media and marketing for the company’s new e-commerce brand - Moodboard. The Code-created site, which launched this month, will be supported by a comprehensive traffic building programme to drive sales of the company’s royalty free images available from www.moodboard.co.uk . The campaign starts with a focus on the USA and the UK followed by Australia and a Eurpoe wide roll out.
Having created an award winning site for leading blinds retailer Hillarys, which won a 2007 Revolution Award for Best Retail Site for the Web Blinds brand, Code’s remit has been extended to providing search engine optimisation for the Hillarys’ online portfolio of sites. Chris Heg added: “We have been appointed to handle a project that encompasses on and off site optimisation. Our brief is to drive more traffic to the site by increasing its visibility through natural search listings and improving rankings in general and specific search results.”
Tony Foggett, Code managing director, said: “The growth of our e-marketing division reflects the overall trend of brands shifting their marketing spend from more traditional advertising to digital marketing. People don’t just come to us to make their website look and function well, they want to talk about fundamental strategic shifts online – solutions, technology, campaigns and analytics – side by side delivering on business objectives
Award-winning Code, formed in 1999, is a full service digital marketing agency that employs 48 people from its offices on Jutland Street, Manchester. The agency's client list includes Waterstone’s, Kimberly Clark Corporation, HMV, RHM Food Services, NUS Services, BUPA, and Akzo Nobel.
