Code Computerlove Creates An Image For www.moodboard.com

Friday, 06 July 2007

Digital agency Code Computerlove has worked in partnership with moodboard to create an innovative new stock image library and e-commerce website. www.moodboard.com a new venture by Mike Watson Images, which launches today, 5th July 2007. Code will also be instrumental in e-marketing support for the launch.

www.moodboard.com has been introduced to save creatives time and money, and provide a new way that stock shots are found. The new site houses both quality microstock and premium royalty free images on one website. The main focus of the site is to make the search for images - for use in editorial, advertising, design and even in-house projects – as simple and cost effective as possible.

The collections are fully searchable and downloadable. Once the user has found the images they want they can create their own moodboard by dragging images to the bottom of the screen, or clicking add, for final selection. User’s personal moodboards also allow them to rename images, edit the description to suit, view as a slide show, download as a contact sheet, shuffle the order of images and expand their moodboard to fill the whole screen. You can save moodboards and come back to them at a later date.

For those short of time, you can submit your search criteria and the moodboard team will complete a search for you, returning the most appropriate images. All images used on the site show the sku and search term if visitors to the site want similar images.

Search is free and can be done without registering on the site, but only registered users can buy or save images. The purchase of images is simple and straightforward – users just add their moodboard images to their cart and complete an online payment. There’s even a section for people to sign up as a moodboard e-tailer, where they receive a personal code that they can pass on anyone who buys images. When they use the code, they get a 10% discount and the e-tailer gets 5% commission paid through PayPal.

The site also contains a number of inspiring gallery pages where visitors can view images within popular search categories either as a slide show or as thumbnail images.

Photographers can submit work that they would like to be considered for the collection using the site.

Photography on the site has been carefully handpicked and scrutinised by the site’s editors to ensure only the best make it into the collection."It is not the intention of moodboard to house millions of images on our website, just the right ones. We want to be able help our customers with any project not matter the budget size " says Joanne Rees, Director of Sales at moodboard. Quality microstock images start from £8 for a xs resolution and premium royalty free images start at £79.

moodboard is the brainchild of Mike Watson, creator of award winning Royalty Free Agency Digital Vision. In Mike’s own words, moodboard brings together: “...the most experienced and professional team in the industry today with the aim of raising the quality and value of stock photography worldwide. Myself and my team are leveraging all our experience to take advantage of new product and pricing opportunities, as well as inviting anyone who passes our strict editing standards to participate in our exciting new journey.”

E-marketing will involve PPC and SEO, plus targeted launch e-mails to photographers and creative directors, targeting key locations in the US and Europe.
