Christy, the UK’s brand leader in bathroom towels, has launched a new website featuring e-commerce. The site, www.christytowels.com, goes live this month and has been designed and produced by Manchester-based digital marketing agency Code Computer Love.
Christy is renowned worldwide for luxurious bathroom towels and the new site aims to reflect the diversity of colours, designs and yarns available, in addition to showcasing the company’s extensive collection of bedlinen and accessories. Its lifestyle approach will enable customers to select products that perfectly accessorise and complement their bathroom or bedroom and, whilst driving sales through the online channel, purchases can also be made by phone. An series of ongoing promotions and special offers for customers who order online will help Christy to build a database that can be used for profiling and targeting customers in the future.
Code Computer Love account manager, Steve Peters, comments, “The new Christy site is designed to inspire and help consumers looking for new bathroom towels or bedlinen. In addition to being able to search for product by colour or range, the site offers an insight into the latest colour trends that have inspired the Christy collections and provides inspiration on colour schemes to help create a new look for the bathroom or bedroom.”
Stewart McGuffie, brand director at Christy, adds, “Christy has been the market leader in luxury bathroom towels for over 150 years and, as such, we have a loyal and established customer-base. We have given a lot of consideration to how our customers would want to buy our products in an online environment and developed the new site accordingly. There will be twice yearly range updates and we believe that the lifestyle element of the site will help to sell and cross sell associated Christy product ranges.”
Award-winning Code Computer Love, formed in 1999, has an impressive client list that, in addition to Christy, includes Centura Foods, Kimberly Clark, HMV, Hfs Loans, Bupa, Umbro and Blue Arrow.
