WORLD’S MOST GLAMOROUS MUSIC & LIFESTYLE BRAND GETS NEW LOOK
Code was appointed by Hed Kandi brand owners the MSHK Group (formerly the Ministry Of Sound group) in April 2009 following a competitive pitch. It has now completed the re-design of www.hedkandi.com ahead of the Ibiza season.
In developing the site design, Code has worked closely with MSHK’s in-house development team, which is responsible for the site build and management, and developed design templates as well as a library of effects for them to implement.
Executive creative director at Code Computerlove Wes Hogg said: “The site’s design balances brand engagement and e-commerce functionality. Overall we’ve created a stunning site that delivers a better brand experience, an enhanced user experience, better navigation and clearer categorisation. The design brings to life the brand’s personality online and celebrates Jason Brooks’ striking artwork. Adobe Flash has been used on the front page and events section to enhance the user experience.”
Rudy Tambala of Hed Kandi said: “In addition to the new design, we’ve also added new features on the site including a fashion section which will support the brand’s new collaboration with Miss Selfridge; a meet the team page so Hed Kandi fans can get closer to our DJs, live performers and PA performers; profiles of our club venues around the globe; and a page on Hed Kandi’s rich heritage. There’s also a secret location on the site, which visitors have to seek out.
“We’ve also made the site more interactive. As well as fans being able to leave comments on the site, we can also export content to our social media pages where we also engage with fans and followers.”
