User Experience Architect
The role
The role of the Code Computerlove User Experience Architect is to help research, plan and design engaging user experiences for Code's digital solutions, utilising all elements of the User-Centred Design process.
You'll work closely with our planning and strategy team, conducting research, audits and assisting with site recommendations and strategies from pitch through to delivery.
You'll also work within a cross-discipline team to design and develop intelligent brand experiences and beautiful user interfaces across web, mobile and other emerging platforms.
Skills you'll use
You should be experienced at doing the following:
- Manage stakeholder interviews to determine business/site objectives
- Conduct user interviews to assess needs and define user journeys
- Utilise UCD best practices to develop personas, user scenarios, process flows and user journeys
- Perform site evaluations and competitive site audits
- Produce recommendations from user research analysis to achieve project and commercial objectives
- Prepare and present findings and strategic recommendations to team mates and clients in pitch or project scenarios.
You'll also be doing this:
- Create requirement documents, sitemaps, process flow diagrams, information architecture wireframes and functional specifications, working in conjunction with the project team
- Advise and assist with test audience recruitment
- Develop testing scenarios/scripts and documenting session output
- Work with our analytics manager to provide analysis and recommendations for ongoing usability improvements for our clients' platforms.
Experience
- 2 years or more experience in the field, agency preferred
- Ideally delivered research, strategies and architectures for national brands and blue chips
- Experience with e-commerce and high street retail brands is preferred.

The environment
Our offices are based in Manchester City centre, just a few minutes' walk from Piccadilly train station. We've got 2 great studios: one looks like the original Starship Enterprise (that's from Star Trek if you don't know it) and the other studio is a dedicated creative /collaborative space for getting mucky in.
